January in Los Angeles: Why it’s so Great
by Dana Cataldi on January 18, 2011As I rode bikes on the beach with my daughter, in eighty degree weather in January, I contemplated all of the reasons that I love LA.
Yesterday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and across the greater Los Angeles area thousands of people enjoyed the warm sunshine with their families. I got to thinking of all of the reasons, aside from the mid-winter heatwaves and the beautiful beaches, that I love Los Angeles. So, I figured I would discuss this with all of you, while keeping up with my accountability challenge.
Los Angeles is a city that has so much to offer, from the beaches to the mountains, from Staples Center to The Getty Center. There is so much to do in this wonderful place that it made me realize something great. We live here because we want to, and what we get in return is a lifestyle and a great community. I have four kids who love it here, and the weather, their friends, and activities in this area have a huge impact on their happiness and well-being.
Some of the things you can take advantage of in this gorgeous corner of the country are:
- Take a stroll along the beach with your family and/or friends.
- See one of the many art exhibitions at
- Go with your kids, or your significant other, to one of theme parks in the LA area.
- Go to a Museum!
- See a Live Theater Performance.
- Check out the California Science Center.
Not only are there a number of fun activities to do in this area, but the opportunities that present themselves on a daily basis are endless. It has never been a greater time to purchase a home and own your own little piece of this beautiful place, and I would be more than happy to discuss some of those opportunities with you. If you have any suggestions about Los Angeles events and activities, leave me a comment below and I’ll get back to you!
Enjoy the splendors that Los Angeles has to offer, and remember to live the lifestyle!

January in LA is fabulous – went on a great bike ride and then went on Facebook and saw my friends photos of snow storms back east. Yup, real estate is expensive here but it is a lifestyle you are buying as well!
